CIA Declassifies Thousands of UFO Reports- January 2017.

Within the past week or so,  930,000 declassified US government documents have been posted online by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). This represents about twelve million pages of information that now can be read by anyone with computer access.

There’s little doubt this is exciting news since President Bill Clinton ordered the declassification back in 1995. Records provide a multitude subjects which include the Vietnam war, the Cuban Missile Crises, war criminals, the Berlin tunnel, experiments with psychic Uri Geller. The documents also include over 1700 papers which the keyword “UFO” is inserted in the search engine.

The archives contain files that have been classified as “top secret” in some cases more than 70 years representing events from the 1940’s into the 1990’s. Each year more classified information is to be released.

Mystic Sciences has been particularly impressed with the overwhelming amount of Unidentified Flying Object papers that been declassified.

The information is fairly easy to research within the website and makes fascinating reading.

The CIA, by releasing such information has pushed the envelope of this matter by presenting a page that suggests the reader can “peak into our X-files” and provides all the direct links into a giant database of government information:

An excerpt follows:

Take a Peek Into Our “X-Files”

The CIA declassified hundreds of documents in 1978 detailing the Agency’s investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). The documents date primarily from the late 1940s and 1950s.

To help navigate the vast amount of data contained in our FOIA UFO collection, we’ve decided to highlight a few documents both skeptics and believers will find interesting. Below you will find five documents we think X-Files character Agent Fox Mulder would love to use to try and persuade others of the existence of extraterrestrial activity. We also pulled five documents we think his skeptical partner, Agent Dana Scully, could use to prove there is a scientific explanation for UFO sightings.

The truth is out there; click on the links to find it.

Additional papers of note:

A review of UFO sightings from as far back as the 1800’s until almost the time of the report – 1964, is described by the file name “The UFO Evidence”. Published by The National Investigations Committee On Ariel Phenomena (NICAP). Dozens of Unidentified flying object cases observed by scientists, pilots, radar, police, and civilians are examined during this time period. The paper categorizes such phenomena by shape – disc- being flat, domed, Saturn-shaped, spheres, spherical, elliptical, triangular, and cylindrical (rocket like) and light- source (star or planet-like.)

A surprising number of incidents are cited including that of Clyde Tombaugh, discoverer of the Planet Pluto as an astronomer. In reading the information is astounding to see the number of professional pilots and military personnel as witnesses to the unexplained sightings.

On September 10, 1976, British European Airways flight # 831 Moscow to London at 33,000 ft. an intense light resembling a sodium vapor lamp (yellowish in color) was reported along the Lithuania border.  The stationary light was between 10-15 miles distant and 5 to 6 thousand ft below the aircraft. Too intense to view the light source completely lit the top of the lower cloud layer giving it a glowing cast. The pilot, concerned contacted Soviet authorities. The report can be read here:

The new CIA release has us all scrambling through the documents of the site in an attempt to find answers. However, the information appears more as a scenario as “here’s what we found …draw your own conclusion”.  Many of the people interviewed have long since died and the events have succumbed to the passage of time. However, no one can deny that with the tens of thousands of reports surely something strange and unexplained exists and we are still searching for answers to this day.

We assume it will take time, to analyze, but for now, a new source of uncanny information is available to the masses.
